CeraMax™ FC Zirconia

You can take comfort in knowing that we will always make sure that the CeraMax line of full-contour zirconias will always include the latest and greatest advancements in zirconia technology to hit the market. As the competition pushes to improve zirconia you may see brands from Argen, Zirlux®, Origin, Sagemax, Katana™, Lava™, and more to be used in the CeraMax line. They are designed and milled in-house on some of the most advanced CAD/CAM equipment in the industry. Full-contour zirconia offers the highest flexural strength of any ceramic restoration, but it is still gentle on opposing dentition due to its high density/porous free surface, which makes it a good choice for bruxers who need that protection. It is an esthetic solution for bruxers and grinders when PFM, metal occlusal/lingual, or full-cast metal restorations are not desired.

CeraMax™ FC Zirconia

Indications

Full-contour zirconia is so versatile, it can be used in almost any situation from singles, bridges with any combination of abutments and pontics, inlay bridges and screw-retained implants. Also an esthetic alternative to a PFM with metal occlusion due to limited space.

When esthetic expectations are high and it is important that the restorations match surrounding natural dentition or other existing restorations a hand layered product will be more esthetic. If bonding is necessary to retain the restoration, bond strength is weaker and less predictable than other ceramics.

Shoulder preparation not needed. A mild chamfer or a feather-edge margin is adequate with 1mm buccal, lingual, and occlusal reduction.

For maximum bond strength use a resin cement like RelyX Ultimate, Panavia V5 or Multilink Automix. Before cementing all full-contour zirconia crowns, the interior surface needs to be cleaned with Ivoclean, Ivoclar Vivadent.

Adjustments and polishing: Adjust full-contour zirconia crowns and bridges using fine diamond burrs, water and air spray to keep the restoration cool and to avoid microfractures. Polish full-contour zirconia restorations with the Brasseler Dialite System or similar substitute. For High Shine use the Ziocon-Brite System from DVA with stiff bristle brush or similar substitute.
